REIS AND RUTH SCHNELL Galerie Lisi Hämmerle Anton-Schneider-Straße 4a, 6900 Bregenz, Austria About the Exhibition: Traces of Control explores the hidden traces of artificial intelligence, focusing on the subtle yet pervasive forms of digital control inscribed into bodies, emotions, and social behaviours. These dynamics are sometimes visible—but more often they operate at the edges of perception. The exhibition presents ceramic objects, embroidered data visualisations, and media-based artefacts that critically engage with AI’s influence in sensitive domains such as autonomous weapon systems, neurotechnologies, and the simulation of pleasure and consent. Merging speculative design with real-world data, the works examine the complex, sensorial, and material entanglements between humans and machines.

Traces of Control invites viewers to confront the silent architectures of digital power and to reflect on the emotional, ethical, and corporeal dimensions of artificial intelligence.
